Using expert guidance for the selection of suitable materials to manufacture a general purpose potting mix. We produce a potting mix based on composted pine bark, quincan, sand, peanut shells plus a few secret herbs'n'spices. The general nursery mix is designed to have good drainage, air-filled porosity (13-25%) and be able to deliver readily available water whilst not being to weighty to handle. Starter nutrient is available in the mix although, slow release and/or liquid fertilizer is generally added at and/or after potting. Potting mix is suitable for;

- Ceramic pots (all ceramic pots need to be sealed inside prior to any direct soil mix contact)
- Tubs and planters
- Aeration of garden beds
- The addition of water crystals
