If you are laying a concrete slab or a footing for a retaining wall then there will be a requirement to use some reinforcing whether it be sheets of reo mesh, trench mesh for footings or deformed bar for wall construction.
Most sheets of mesh are quite large (6 metres x 2.4 metres), making them almost impossible to transport without an appropriate sized vehicle (usually a large flatbed truck!) which is why we organise our sheets to be cut and available to you in a much smaller and easier to manage sheet measuring in at 3m x 2.4m. This allows for easy transportation on our trucks or even your ute or trailer.
The codes used to distinguish reinforcing mesh refer to the Australian Standards. The first number refers to the diameter of the steel (5, 6, 7 & 8 all refer to mm). The second number (2) refers to the grid size, in this case 2 is 200mm or 20 cm.
